ADVERTISING YOUR BUSINESS ON OUR WEBSITE
The Information you provide in relation to your business must be provided in a responsible manner, up to date, accurate and truthful and are in no way defamatory, malicious, slanderous or misleading All listings and adverts must be from genuine Businesses only. The Effective Directories ltd reserves the right, without any obligation whatsoever, to review, correct, remove or modify any content submitted to the website.
General a) Factual claims or offers made must be credible, current, and accurate. Misleading or inaccurate adverts will be rejected and could lead to your businesses being removed from the website. b) Any URL included in your advert must be relevant to the advertiser directly and not connected to any spam account, newsfeed or other such promotional material. c) Adverts must not promote any products or services which are illegal in the UK. d) Adverts must not contain links to harmful websites, malware, spyware or anything similar.
Image Guidelines a) Any images which you upload with your advert must be your own property or you must have permission from the owner of the image to use it for advertising purposes. b) Copyrighted or trademarked images or text are not permitted unless you or your company owns the relevant copyright or trademark. c) Images depicting violence or pornographic material strictly forbidden, Any and all images must be appropriate for all ages. Infringement could mean the removal of the image, advert and your account without further recompense. d) Images on The Effective Directories ltd website shall be made available to the company, its associated partners and companies for promotional purposes relating to the website. e) Images relating to The Effective Directories ltd and its associated partners and companies, on the website cannot be copied or used in other promotional material without the express written consent of The Effective Directories ltd or the image owners. Images uploaded by advertisers can and will be used by The Effective Directories ltd in the course of promotional work for and about the advertisers and itself.
Text Guidelines
a) The text of your listing/advert must be written in English and obey the basic rules of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
b) Please use only the allocated sections for including your URL, telephone number and social media information. Please do not include URLs, telephone numbers, or email addresses in the body text of your listing.
c) The mention or promotion of third parties within your listing is strictly forbidden.
All submitted listing/web adverts and amendments will be subject to approval by the website administrator before they are published
PAYMENTS
When an advert/listing request is submitted the advertiser will be contacted to arrange payment terms/invoicing.
Yearly bookings will be paid in one lump sum, monthly bookings can be paid by monthly direct debit/standing order.
When you submit your listing you are agreeing to pay the current listing/advert price, the contract starts when the listing/advert is published online, the payment terms and due date will be stated on your invoice.
In cases of overdue accounts, we will exercise our statutory rights under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. In this respect, interest at the rate of 3 per cent above base rate per 14-day period will be added, compounded in each 14-day period on any outstanding balance from the date of the invoice until the date of receipt of payment in full. Also, please be advised that, in accordance with European Directive 2000/35/EC, a debt recovery fee of £40 will be charged.
Should any advertiser wish to cancel the contract, they must provide 30 days notice. The Effective Directories ltd reserves the right to request payment of any outstanding balance on the contract to be paid in full by the end of the notice period.
For yearly bookings renewal options will be made available to you 28 days before your agreement comes to an end. If you choose not to renew your listing/advert will be removed from the website at the end of the agreement.
Privacy statement - Here at The Effective Directories Ltd we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account and to provide the products and services you have requested from us. The Effective Directories ltd is registered with the Information Commissioners Officer for Data Protection. Our registration number is ZA285352
